National Day of Prayer

May 1st, 2014, is the National Day of Prayer when millions of Americans will unite at more than 42,000 locations from coast to coast and “turn to God in prayer and meditation.”   Days of prayer have been called since 1775 when the Continental Congress designated a time for prayer while forming a new nation.  This year’s theme, which was chosen by the Chairman of the National Day of Prayer Task Force, Mrs. Shirley Dobson, wife of Family Talk founder Dr. James Dobson, is “One Voice, United in Prayer.”  It’s based on Romans 15:6, “So that with one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Our Prayer Services is hosting a prayer event at Premier Designs’ Home Office with over 100 Associates and 75 special guests attending.  Associates, Jewelers and Prayer Partners will lead prayers related to our nation, our company and the Premier Family.  Also included in the program will be the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance, the song The Statue of Liberty sung by a local Jeweler, the reading of Joan’s devotional book “Keeping It Personal” from July 4th, “America the Beautiful,” and a wonderful video that we want to share with you.
