Winning a car on the last day of Rally was an answered prayer for Rachel Grile, and to this day she still gets goosebumps thinking about it!
My story with Premier started in 2010, I joined to make a little extra money and have some girl time! I didn’t wear jewelry much and wasn’t into fashion at all!
Shortly after joining, my “mom” got out of Premier so I was left on my own for a little while. I wasn’t really sure what Premier was actually about, or what their purpose was. I just did shows as they came and never really worked on my business.
Then in 2013, my Premier mom now, Kathy, called me. She said, “Hey I’m your new Premier mom. How can I help you?” Ever since then Premier has meant so much more to me than just a few shows and a little extra income. I have built relationships with girls in my “family” and even those that aren’t. I look at my “job” as a way to be a blessing to those I come in contact with—you never know what is going on in their life that day, week, or year!
Fast forward to 2015, I am a wife of 6½ years to Adam and a mom to two boys, Ryan (3 in October) and Caleb (1 year old). I now work part-time at my job, and I’ve realized that Premier can help me fill in the gap income-wise. It also lets me get out of the house for some “me time!”
About two months before Rally, my Premier family had us make some goals for our business: current, 5 years, and 10 years. On my current goal, I put that I wanted to pay off our vehicles and hopefully purchase a new one that could fit our family better. At the time, we had a 5-person vehicle, but as you know, that can fill up fast with four people, carseats, and strollers! Also our current vehicles had been in and out of the shop during the year. While I was at Rally, my husband’s truck was in the shop.
Come Rally time, I was so excited to go! It was my second time so I knew a little of what to expect. I knew Premier was giving away three cars for the 30th anniversary. I think I even voted on which cars to give away! I always imagined what it would be like to win, but I couldn’t even fathom the thought of it. I would always say to myself, “There are around 8,000 people here. There’s no way it will be me.”
At the 80s party when they gathered around to hear who won, I remember my heart pounding really fast as I was thinking what I would do if it was me. Then they called the lady’s name, and she wasn’t there. Hearing of her story about going home because of a family emergency, I started shouting, “Give her the car!” I could feel goosebumps on my arms! Premier is amazing and so were the hearts of everyone there!
On the last day of Rally, my dad dropped me off at the convention center. I said to him, “Well Dad, they are giving away the last car today. Wouldn’t it be cool if it was me?” He replied, “Yeah, well it’s like the Price is Right, and you have to pay the taxes so a lot of people can’t afford them.” I said, “No Dad, this is Premier!”
Then as Rally was ending, they came out on stage to draw the winner. No joke, the first lady they drew wasn’t there—and her first four numbers matched mine! So my heart was racing when they were calling her number. After they said they would draw again, I just sat back down with my feet propped up and grabbed my phone. Then they called 1…7…7…5…5…3…RACHEL GRILE!!! I couldn’t believe it!
I jumped up, screaming, crying, not breathing! It still gives me goosebumps and makes my heart race to think about! And they blew me away again when they said I could pick which car I wanted—of course I said the Traverse to put my babies in!
This has really been an answered prayer. We have been trusting in God, and this definitely proves over and over again how He is faithful and will provide in His time. You just have to be patient!
One of the first things I told my husband was that I never wanted to be without Premier! He is a great supporter and feels very blessed as well. I sure hope I never miss another Rally! I just want to share Premier even more now and be a witness that we are not just another direct sales company. We offer a lot more than just free jewelry!
