Remembering Premier’s Legacy

From the May 16, 2013 Premier Designs Legacy Museum Grand Opening & Dedicationmuseum-5

In 1985, after much prayer, Joan and I, along with God’s direction, founded Premier Designs, Inc. Together, we wrote out our Philosophy, Purpose and Reasons for Existence on our kitchen table as seen in the museum. Our desire was to merely finance the company, hire others to run it and stay in the background. God had a different plan. It became clear, after only a few months, that we needed to become more active in the daily operations, and then in 1990, we became official leaders of Premier. This turned out to be a time of renewal that God has used to bless Premier.

God has been with Premier throughout these 28 years. Our foundation is built on the Bible. That will never change. As we moved into the next generation, Joan and I prayed for many years about our desire for Premier Designs to continue to enrich lives even after we were gone. museum-3-copyWhen we first shared with Tim our desire for him to become President, it wasn’t something he wanted to do. After a lot of discussion and prayer, he accepted the role and has done an awesome job these past seven years of leading Premier into the next generation while maintaining our core principles and values. He believes in our Philosophy and Purpose, and he strives to honor God and serve people. I thank God for answering our prayers and know that the future of Premier is bright.

This museum tells the whole story of Joan’s and my journey to Texas and of Premier Designs’ founding until today. I want you to know, it is not to honor the Horners. It’s all for God’s glory. I believe in miracles. Premier is a miracle! My prayer is that everyone who visits the museum will understand who we are, where we came from, and what God has done for us.

To God be all the glory!

  1. Thank you Andy and Joan! I had the pleasure and blessing of meeting Andy and having my picture taken with him my very first Rally in 2013. Little did I know at the time the impact this company and those I meet in this company would have on my life. It hasn’t just been the business, but my spiritual growth has greatly changed. From the bottom of my heart and my family’s heart, thank you Andy Horner for telling me I’m worth something!
